As you are aware, I am running for the Blue Ridge City Council Post 5. I am a problem solver, not a politician. I was unable to attend a recent event due to the fact that I had committed to helping an area doctor address technology issue with an x-ray system, When I commit to doing something, I follow through. I do not place personal preferences first.
You have elected to live in a beautiful area of our city. I am asking you to elect me to help ensure that the needs of the City of Blue Ridge are the top priority of the Council.
Early voting continues through this Friday. You can vote in person at City Hall or your can request an absentee ballot. Election day is November 2. Voting on election day will be at City Hall - 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Early voting turnout has been low. In a small election, every vote is significant.
I am asking you to vote for me because of who I am and what I represent. I am a Desert Storm veteran. I am a small business owner. As someone who rents, I understand the need for workforce housing as opposed to Section 8 Housing. Infra structure is vital to all of us.
Additionally, I am asking you to consider voting for me because of who I am not. I have no previous involvement with the City Council. There are requirements for certain projects to expenditures of funds. I will not use council meetings to advance personal agendas nor will I wastefully spend taxpayers' money in childish games of "gotcha".
We are each blessed to call Blue Ridge home. With your vote for Bill Bivins, we can all work together.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thank you for your vote.
